OUR STORY

What do you get when you add a historian, a mobilizer, and a publisher who share a passion for God’s mission to reconcile the world to Himself? You get a crazy idea to celebrate a legacy of heroes and heroines who showed courage and creativity in how they joined the Lord in His efforts among the nations. That crazy idea manifested in a deck of cards–the Black Mission Legends deck–that can inspire as well as be enjoyed.

As individuals, our historian–Linda P. Saunders, PhD–is a professor and researcher of Black Protestant missions. She will be publishing a multi-volume work of Black Mission History in 2025, which is the source of content on which the deck of cards is based. 

Pastor Adrian Reeves has been the CEO of the National African American Mission Council since 2018. He has a vision to remind the African American church of its heritage and contributions in missions and to unleash and mobilize the next generation of Black missionaries. A significant portion of the royalties of every sale of this deck of cards will go to supporting that vision. See the Missionary Award Program.

DG Wynn has been a missions book publisher for over ten years and has turned her hands to publishing games and resources that are accessible to the masses and will inspire conversations of thought and action in Great Commission endeavors.  

Together, we three get to exercise our unique gifts in harmony in the hopes of blessing all who engage with the product of our combined creativity.
