A Challenge For All of Us

Our friends at Joshua Project share with us that there are roughly 7000 Unreached People Groups (UPG) remaining, and I find it very interesting that there were nearly 7000 students who attended the Urbana Student Missions Conference in 2025. 

Not all of these students will go to work among the Unreached. In fact, stats show us that a generous accounting is that only between 1-3% of missionaries work among the Unreached, yet that is where there is the most need. So I issue this challenge to all of us: 

Let us pray for the 7000 Unreached and the 7000 students to reach the Unreached. 

Because the Lord's mission will be accomplished, I'm grateful to know that He is mobilizing His global body of Christ towards reaching the Unreached, but I pray that these 7000 students be among them. 

Lord of all Creation, let the ripple effect of this gathering be far and wide. 

Chasm Gaming was thrilled to have our PRAY4 Unreached Peoples deck of playing cards being handed out by Mark Matlock, the head of Urbana to students, pastors, and other missions-minded leaders attending the event. 

The PRAY4 Unreached Peoples deck is a classic deck of playing cards with a missional twist. It’s an invitation to play AND pray! The deck features 48 UPGs, which are Unreached People Groups. These people groups are those who have yet to be introduced to the gospel. Each card will share a few vital details to spark prayer: the people group name, home country, population size, major religion, percent of Jesus followers, and status of Bible translation. Further, each ace defines Kingdom concepts like the Great Commission, what makes someone a UPG, and more.
